I like my O week OG already... Although it was scary how fast they bonded. :D
Yesterday, they'd only been together for less than an hour, and when we went for lunch, they all just sat down and started talking to each other like they'd all known each other in JC or something! :D
All of us freshie councillors were like, um.. "Whoa." :P
And even today, we had three new freshies, and the whole OG just assimilated them so easily! They were talking and joking around by lunch time, again...
Amazing.
Ah... games IC today... Fear Factor.
Thank god I signed up to be IC for that game; otherwise I'd have to eat the stuff that we had to gross-ify for them to eat. Wouldn't really mind carrying the worms, though; I'm fine with that, but oh, the poor worms...
Some of them did get squished, the poor things; dropped and stepped on, or something of the like.
Oh, and the fashion pageant! Was so proud of ourselves; we made this really cool-looking warrior costume out of all the recycled material and stuff; we stuck it all on Yang Chong (spring onion! hahaha!) and it looked really good on him, man! And we were different from all the other OGs who did all the usual sexual kinda stuff, like transvestite kinda costumes and whatnot.
And good Lord, Gregory was really sluttified. :P Didn't know he had it in him. Freaked me out a little. :P
I'm running back and forth from Rag and O week; damn tiring, but damn, it's so FUN!! :D :D

Birthdays!! Oh, I love it when there're plenty of people around; you can't celebrate a birthday without lots of people, hahaha... :D :D :D
And yes, I've been wearing a silly grin on my face for about three quarters of today for obvious reasons. :D Said silly grin is now attempting to worm its way into my typing and blog post. As you can see. :D Not that I really care. :D :D :D I'll grin and smile till I split my face if I like! :D
Birthday wishes, in order: Sylvia messaged me at 11.55 pm last night, haha... 5 minutes early, but hey! It still counts!! :D Debbie's came next, altho hers was one of those forwarded kinda messages when she says that she's really happy that she knows someone like me. :) But I *was* wondering why she was sending me one of those out of the blue. :D
Next: Wan-Tsin, then Pam, with the expected "Happy Birthday and oh you're so old". :D :D :D
O week precamp starts today as well, too, so when I got there, Mary and Denise wished me happy birthday too, and soon my whole house knew, haha... Of course, all the raggers already knew. :)
Debbie came later, after we all had lunch, and she brought cake!
A chocolate one with blueberry filling, I think, and it had cream with chocolate shavings, and she said that it was for Titus House's three July babies, which were myself, Alex, and another guy named Mark. Alex's bday was on the sixth, and Mark's was on the 17th, but mine was the only one which was on that day itself, haha.. So had a big piece of that cake... :D
Oh, and they made Alex kiss Eunice as his so-called bday "present/wish"; I'm not sure if I should envy or pity the poor guy. :P
And then, at the end of the day's activities, Pam and I sat outside the arts club room and we ate the apple pie that she baked for me! It had a "G" in the middle of it! :D
So we lit the candles and I blew them out and everything, and we ate and talked and between the two of us, we ate about half the pie; it was lovely!! As it is with everything that Pam bakes. :P
Then we went down to AS7 where they were having dance practice, and I let Haoran have some; he wanted to eat the whole half that was left after he had one bite! And he wanted to order from Pam, haha... :D
Wan Tsin, Mary and Yuimin all really loved it too; then I brought the rest home; there was still slightly more than a third left. :D
And I had another mango cake when I got home!
Haha!! Three cakes/pies in one day!! :P
Oh, and I have Maksim's CD now, from Pam and Sylvia, and Mary gave me a small notebook that she decorated with sequins in the shape of a "G"; I love stationery. If I had enough money, I'd buy every single pretty/cool-looking notebook that I saw at bookshops. :P
And my sisters gave me this fancy paper clip, and a calligraphic writing of my chinese name; I have no idea who did it, but it looks lovely. :)
Ah, then when I got home, Yingyi messaged me at about 8 to say happy birthday!
Lovely day.... :)

Shaun is easily amused.
Jian Wu iseasily scared--shouldn't say that--
Of lizards. Or by lizards. Whichever way you want to put it. :P
Coz we were twiddling around with the fortress part of the structure today when a tiny brown lizard scarpered out from underneath and Shaun was watching it go and he went, "So cute!"
Er, I was a little surprised that he said that (no guy that I've ever known before this would say something like that in a situation like this; they'd probably think it, but maybe not say it), but I agreed, anyway. Because it was cute. :)
Picked it up; not a very wise thing to do, not knowing exactly what the heck it is, but I picked it up anyway; funny thing is that whenever I tried to give it over to either Shaun or Wei Liang, it always jumped right out of their hands. Stayed pretty still in mine though.
And Shaun seemed rather fascinated by the fact that you could see its little lungs drawing breath and everything; it was still a baby, so the skin was rather translucent.
Ah, and I scared Jian Wu by handing it to him. :P
I mean, I closed my fingers over it, and I stretched out my hand to him as he was coming down the stairs, and then he was standing in front of me and asking me, "What?" as he looked down at my hand.
So I opened my hand and the little lizard was sitting in there calmly and Jian Wu jumped back about a foot. :P Heehee.
Saw Wan Tsin and Pam when their SWAPS camp groups came past the place where we were working. They seemed to be having fun.. :)
Chicken wire is evil. Scratches all over the place.
Twine is semi-evil too. Maybe not. My fingers hurt again. Pulling silly twine and whatnot. And now my hands have strange red marks all along the side from pulling the twine.
And I'm actually laughing at myself. Laughing at myself because my stupid hands hurt. What kind of stupid weird little bugger are you, you stupid girl?!
Biggest eejit alive is what I am.
And in other news.. the guys are putting the girls to shame. Song Kwang can bake cookies... I've never known any guys that can bake, so Song Kwang's the first. Good for him, anyway. And now we learn that Shaun can cook lasagna.

Synopsis of highlights at Rag "camp" (",)
Day One:
At the Beginning...
Okay, so apparently Titus is the only house that is staying together (to build a part of e structure, that is. One of the towers, to be specific) for Rag; all the other houses have their OGs spread around in different areas of building and stuff.
No Dolus people at camp; only four of us Caedor girls (Mary, Sharon, Yingyi and me) and Alex, and two Gladius guys: Song Kwang and Alvin. And there's this guy from Opto called Jian Wu who seems to like tagging along with us and helping out, so I guess he's sorta an honorary member of the group, haha. :P
Altho Alex only came much later in the day; he was stuck at his camp for half the day waiting to collect his IC. He and Gareth both ORD-ed on the first day of Rag "camp". And when Alex came he brought us almond and cherry nougat from Marks & Spencer!! Yay.... :D :D
Went around NUS collecting materials and stuff-- wood, cardboard, waste paper and newspaper; I think we alarmed our group IC with how enthu we were. Hee. :D Not bad eh, Titus? :D
Group IC's name is Shaun; nice guy, very fatherly person, really, always being concerned with the girls and everything, haha.
Debbie dropped in later in the day! :D Us Caedor girls went out with her and Shaun for dinner; Debbie bought us grapes, then left after dinner coz she wasn't staying over, and then we went to NTUC to buy stuff for breakfast the next day. Oh, and Mary brought durians too! You know, one of those one packet for $2 kinda things outside supermarkets; we managed to pick pretty good ones too, haha. :)
Thing is, in NTUC it was slightly weird, coz Shaun's 1.83m tall and we're all just teeny little 19-year-old girls (he's 24 this year), so I made a remark that it was like he was some dad bringing his four daughters out shopping and it stuck: we called him "Daddy", "pa pa", and "A-pa" for about half the time during the camp!! :P
Y'know what's even funnier, tho? He responded when we called him that; every single time!! Haha.... ah, but he's a nice guy, so he's prob just humouring us or something, haha... :P
Strange thing is, he seems quite amused by it too. :D
Night Activities
Kicked a soccer ball around the "bridge" area near e Arts Club Rm for a while... half an hour or so; I learned that I can actually coordinate my leg and eyes! Well, somehat. :P Was really quite fun, haha.
Bathtime. Went to Eusoff Hall to bathe; Shaun took us there and waited for us. Felt so bad, but uh, he wouldn't be persuaded otherwise, so.. yeah. So nice of him. :)
Should really stop saying "nice" so often. But I have no other word to substitute it with!! Argh. Vocab, wherefore art thou bloody vocab.
I love the Hall's bathrooms, btw. They're lovely. :D Nice and big with shower cubicles that have plenty of space to hang or place your stuff.
And I thought that PGP's bathrooms were pretty good already. :P The Hall's bathrooms are about twice as big as PGP's. And they have heated water. :)
Steven and some other people went off to Clementi to watch soccer at about 3 in the morning, leaving the Arts Club Rm quite empty; speaking of Steven, he's actually really different from during Arts Camp-- turns out he's a really funny guy-- he seemed kinda uptight then! Oh, and I learned how to play mahjong! Hahaha.... :D
And apparently, I had really good luck; according to all the people that were helping me-- Alex and Song Kwang and Jian Wu. I could see that, I think, but I still didn't really understand it, haha. :P
Jasmine kept popping in at times while we were playing; she was worried about Mary and Yingyi who were sleeping outside on the benches, and she kept asking the guys to sleep outside with them to keep them company!
Thus, Jasmine earned the post of "Mummy". :P
So Sharon and I slept on the couches in the room; Jasmine came in later and took an armchair and Shaun followed after a while.
The soccer people came back at about 6 am. Apparently, after the match ended at 4 plus, they went to play soccer till 6 am. Crazy bunch. :P
Day Two:
Woke up at 9 plus, despite the fact that I slept at 4 plus. My body clock is sometimes too finely tuned for my liking. Anyway, woke at around nine and just lay there all snuggly-buggly in my sleeping bag listening to the soccer people come back and talking and whispering as they settled down to find a place to sleep. Quite fun, really. Finally decided to get my lazy arse up and start work at about 9.45.
Yingyi and Mary and the guys were all awake already; sitting around on a bench outside and talking; Song Kwang said that they all slept outside, so they were up at about 7 plus coz by then people were walking past and staring at them, haha.
So, had brekkie and everything, then started tearing up more newspaper and folding magazine pages into some spike-like thing that they want to use for scales or some other sort. Did that all the way till lunchtime.
Meanwhile, Steven entertained us with his semi-wide variety of Bible and racist jokes.
Ah, and after lunch, Gareth dropped in, and he brought those lovely mint chocs; you know, those lovely mint sweets with chocolate centres; I love those. :D And he informed us that apparently, mint lowers a guy's sperm count.
Hm. Shan't comment. :P
Steven's gay "tendencies"
Rather unnerving, really. Big macho guy like Steven talking about how he'd turn gay for only one man in the world... Well, okay, he's not really big, he's more like a little macho guy, haha. Like Wai Lun!! Hahaha!!!! Yes, anyway, he was talking about um.. Tony Leung, I think. About how even though he's 40, he still has a great smile and a lovely face and how when he goes to watch Tony Leung's movies and Tony Leung smiles on the screen he (Steven, that is) just "melts in (his) seat"... O_O
I tell you, all of us in the room were really staring at him by then. It's funny, but kinda unnerving. :P
Oh, and he sings a lot. He walks around singing a lot of chinese and cantonese songs; singing like one would in the shower. :P
The Titus House family...
Yeah, we're starting to develop into a family. Literally. Steven gave us bak kwa sometime in the morning, so we made him our "stepfather" since we already have Shaun for "pa pa"... (lame, aren't we??), and since Debbie's our self-proclaimed "house nanny" as it is, we've officially recognised her as such, haha, coz she came in the afternoon on the second day with slices of watermelon and honeydew... she's always feeding us with fruits. :)
So, at last count, we have a dad, a mum, a nanny, and a stepfather. Although having a stepfather seems wrong since we have a father. Hm. Maybe Steven should be an uncle or something.
More Stuff
Yingyi's mum came through and got her factory workmen to drive over to NUS with a lot of stuff for us; cardboard boxes and newspapers and some wood too.
Then some of the guys came back with about ten bags of aluminium cans that they'd brought back from Senoko. Christ, they stank.
And we had to wash them too. :s
I think there were about 6 guys--um.. Song Kwang, Alvin, Jian Wu, Shaun, Bobby and Haoran-- and Yingyi and I went into the gents with them and we crowded out the whole place, washing 6 bags of cans; it was like an assembly line thing: the guys washed them with soap and passed it down to Yingyi and I and we rinsed them twice with water before sorting them by colour in different bags and everything.
Jian Wu shuffled back and forth changing the water for us and getting basins; Shaun and Bobby straightened and tidied up the bags and eveything once in a while...
Actually, quite fun. :P But very dirty.
Most popular things that we find in those cans: cigarette butts, tissue paper and straws. Not very pleasant. :P
Yingyi and I took slightly longer to bathe that night... :)
Kicked the football around again; Steven and co. left to go watch football again and Shaun and Jasmine and some others went for supper; that left Song Kwang, Yingyi and me to laze around. Alex came back later, so the four of us just sat around outside the room and talked crap. :P
Bedtime: AS7. Okay, Shaun brought us there, and we were all expecting that we'd sleep around on the first floor since apparently people usually sleep there, and there's plenty of space anyway, but he brought us up to the third floor instead, just outside the Chinese Department, and there were armchairs and everything that we moved around and joined together to make makeshift beds. Plus, the aircon control panel was open, so he switched it on and we had air-conditioning the whole night! Even better than the Arts Club Room, coz all they have in there is leftover cool air after the central control turns off all the air-conditioning at about 9.
Well, I did wake up kinda semi-frozen in the morning. But that was coz I was too damn lazy to open up my sleeping bag, haha.
Day Three:
Last day... did more stuff, tearing newspapers, tearing and folding magazine pages, and now, cutting cans.
Not much different from what we've been doing the past two days.
Gareth dropped in again towards the end of the day, as the seniors were setting up the barbecue, and we were sitting around and stoning in the room; he brought his iPod again; he'd used it to "hijack" the radio the day before; so cool!! :D
So while we were all sitting around idling, he decided to tech me how to appreciate techno. Really, the stuff that he said... well, I've kinda observed that about techno, but never really thought about it and stuff. He said lots of stuff like about how techno is usually really long coz it builds up, and they layer one rhythm over another slowly, slowly, one after the another; that sorta thing.
And some kinds are actually listenable; I've heard those before. And he has a lot of songs that I like on his iPod! :D
Barbecue on the roof of Central Library at the end of the day. Quite cool, really. :D
Coz the stairs to the roof are kinda blocked by the debris from the renovation going on, plus it's on the roof; gives it a kinda unauthorised gathering kinda feel. Fun. :)
The view from the roof is also really lovely; sunset is really nice. Jasper says that the view from outside the old Arts clubroom was better; that must've been something.
They lit the area with lightsticks and tealights when it got dark; the tealights were quite nice, but most of the lightsticks that they used were green, so it looked semi-spooky too, haha.
Ah, and there was the kinda lame "initiation" ceremony. :P
See, Steven's explanation was that, at Rag, we build a float, so now, we give you a mini-float". Which was a Coke float, to be exact. So yep, each of us got a Coke float, and a tag that says "Ragger" with a white space below it; I think our names are supposed to go in that space, but I've just hung it up anyway; it looks nice, anyhow. :)
So yeah, went home after that; very fun 3 days, haha. :D

All right, will be gone till Friday, again. :)
Going for Rag camp, so will probably get to see about half my OG and all my seniors again, haha. *little happy dance*
Oh, and something exciting happened just now, about 20 minutes ago, I guess; there was a blackout! As in a blackout that spanned the whole neighbourhood and everything, not just one that was confined to my house; that wouldn't have been all that exciting. :P
So, yes, apparently it was blacked out as far as Thomson as well, coz my sis' friend called about 5 minutes into the power outage, and they were yakking away about the power, and yes, so we found out that Thomson was down too; which means that's about half the island, I guess. :P
See, the power just went out, and I thought, well, heck, we'll get it back on later, someone just go downstairs and switch the main switch back on. But about a minute after the lights had all gone out, the neighbour's baby started crying, and suddenly, it just occurred to me that maybe, just maybe my area was getting one of those widespread blackouts.
So I looked out the window, and found that ALL the houses and even those across the street and everything, they were ALL dark; even the street was dark-- I've never seen the streets around here dark, man! :D
So, yes, all in all, rather exciting. The whole place was dark, except for moonlight, which really, was quite bright. :)
All right, will be back on Friday. :)

Yeah. So that means that I have 4 days and 3 nights activities to note down. :P
Am actually sleepy and tired as all hell-- I have this distinct feeling that I've slept less than 15 hours in the last 72 hours-- but I just have to get this down; I doubt I'll forget it, but I have to get it down somewhere, anyway. :)
I love my OG and my councillors!! My OG just bonded so well; I mean, we started out kinda awkward, yeah, but on the second day, after coming back from Sentosa, we just sorta clicked-- that was pretty cool. :D
I miss them already... Yingyi, Denise, Sharon, Mary, Wan Tsin, Xu Yang, Gareth, John, Wei Min and Alex; most of us are coming back for Rag anyway. :D And our councillors too; Ming Tuan was our OGL and he got best councillor in our house (yay!); he has this really funny laugh, I tell you; whenever he laughs, it sounds like someone who's laughing at some slapstick comedy or something. And there's Judy, who's his girlfriend, and Kenneth and Jiarong; Kenneth is pretty damn funny too. :D And our house ICs, Raynard and Debbie; Raynard is damn funny; I've never met a funnier person in my life!! It's like he was just BORN funny, man; he has all this really stupid jokes and songs like his "countries of the world" song, where he just names all the countries of the world in one long stretch, but he does it to a melody, of course, and the stupid games that he teaches us; they're all really damn stupid, but that's really why it makes us laugh!!! :D :D
Sad thing is, four of the five guys in our group aren't actually coming to Arts.. Wei Min's going to Engin, John and Gareth are going to Archi, and Xu Yang's going into SMU business; only Alex is actually coming to Arts! Which means that they can't come back for Rag with the rest of us, coz they really should participate with their own faculties, haha.
Not much happened on the first day, but on the second day we went to Sentosa. Played this game called "Chase" for the first part of the day; was that kinda thing where you run around looking for stations and the stations have tasks that you need to perform or games that you need to play. So, we had four stations, and our third station was at Tanjong Beach, and we had to make our way there from the Merlion, which was pretty far, so we were on our way there, when we happened upon this pick-up truck driver, and we asked him for a lift and he was so nice to give it to us! We passed one group on the way there, Pam's group actually, heehee; and we were waving from the truck and everything. So the Tanjong Beach station had Kenneth and Judy for stationmasters, and they're our councillors, so they were really proud of us for hitching a ride, haha...
And when we were leaving, Kenneth was like, "I'll help you all find another truck", haha.. Oh, but we *did* find another one, and when we were driving off, we yelled bye to them, and Kenneth was like: "I salute you, man!" And he actually did stand up on the bench down on the beach and salute as we drove off to Sijori Resort. And from Sijori, we managed to hitch another ride down back to Tanjong Beach which was supposed to be the last stop for the game for everyone, and when we arrived back, Kenneth was still there, and he was so proud of us, haha!!!
So by the end of the day, I think everyone knew about us, the group that managed to hitch three rides!! And towards the end of the day itself, when we were walking back to PGP, down that long stretch of road, past al those small little houses which serve as small research centres and the like, Aaron drove up and offered to give us a lift the rest of the way, haha; ANOTHER ride!! And Kenneth said that the van and lorry gods must be smiling on us, LOL.....
So yeah, Sentosa was fun, and later that night we had night ventures; you know, that sorta thing where the seniors dress up as ghosts and try to scare the crap out of you. Was pretty fun. While we were waiting, they also had us do this Secret Pal thing; see each of us was assigned this Secret Pal, and we were each given nicknames, which were the only thing that we knew each other by. So while waiting for the dispatchers to take us to the places that we'd have to go to for our night venture, they blindfolded us and let us talk to our SPs; literally blind-dating, I tell you. :P
Anyway, yeah, got along pretty well with my SP; when our councillors came to take us back to our groups, I found out that we'd been talking for two hours!! Unreal, man! I have not, and never would have talked to a complete stranger for two hours, but well, right then, I'd done it, haha. He was easy enough to get along with, really. Oh, then later they took us for our night venture; my OG was the last group to go, haha. I think besides me, Denise and Gareth got on pretty well with their SPs too
on the third day we had another of those stations-type games at the SRC and we were just running around trying to complete as many stations as possible, and at the end we had this massive all-out waterbomb fight using half the field! Our house ICs were given bamboo poles with plastic hula hoops tied in front of them, and they had to cover the hoops with newspaper; then all at the same time, every house would run to all the rest and throw their house's waterbombs at the other houses' hoops and try to break the newspaper, and my house won!! Haha... Woohoo! Was damn fun; we were throwing the leftover waterbombs at each other and whatever the Science and Engin and Bizad camps were doing out there on that same field, it sure must've looked damn boring as compared to us!! Ha, suckers. :P
Then that night we all had our SPs revealed and we had dinner with them; like an early phase of SDU, I tell you; the seniors planned all this really romantic like setting with tealights and they turned off the lights in the hall and everything, but it was still packed food as always, so that wasn't too romantic, haha! And despite the tealights, it wasn't bright enough; couldn't really see what we were eating! Lol... Oh, but my SP was nice; average-looking guy, but he's a decent guy; he kept asking me if I needed another drink or more tissue or something, haha.. but he was just trying to be nice anyway; I think it was kinda awkward for most of us, anyway! :P Ah, yes, and his name's Edmund. :)
Well, after that, the seniors booked this club for us-- for six hours, I tell you! Who dances for six hours?! All right, anyway, they booked this place for us, this place called Mox; was on the fourth floor of a shophouse-like place around Tanjong Pagar. Danced for a while with my OG, even got pushed up onto the stage with them at one point, but for the second half of the night, I was sitting outside on the balcony with Gareth and Sharon and Yingyi coz it was really loud and pretty warm inside.
Judy said that we had to stay awake coz it was the last night and everything, so we came back and showered and went downstairs to play truth or dare, but when it was the first person's turn, we realised that we kinda tired to do any kind of daring, so it became truth or truth, haha...
Anyway, we only lasted till 6.30 am. :P We all went to sleep then and woke up at about 9 plus and packed and everything and went downstairs to the hall for breakfast at 10.45 am. Yeah, that was it. So, yeah, was really fun.
Have signed up for Rag and as freshman councillor for O Week, pretty much like the rest of my OG, so I'll probably be going for Rag camp next week. Yep, another camp, haha.
This must be the longest post in the whole blog!! :D :D

Well, it's 12.07 am now, so by right, the arts camp thingy starts later today. So I really should be asleep. But I really never get around to doing the things that I really should be doing. Which is why I'm such a goddamn failure in life.
But well.
So I should really get to sleep soon.
But I have to double and triple check my checklist again. Yeah.
All right.
Well, just the other day, Gerri realised that she now hates Wolfgang Petersen.
I mean, there were some parts that I liked in the movie better than in the Iliad, like Agamemnon getting killed in Troy so that means that he never got to savour his victory, and the bit where Hector kills Menelaus, and the ending where at least Andromache and Astyanax get away instead of being captured or thrown from the battlements, and more people than just Aeneas get out of the city, but I hate Wolfgang Petersen because he had two actors who worked so goddamn well as brothers but he didn't give the two of them enough screen time together!!
Well, maybe I just want more gratuituous Eric Bana and Orlando Bloom ogling, but seriously, I went to watch the film waiting for a little heart-to-heart scene between the two brothers, and I almost squealed with joy when Eric Bana, sorry, I mean Hector, says that "I must speak with Paris", but then later he steps out into the corridor and Helen comes by and he never ends up going to speak with Paris; at least not that we know in the movie.
Stupid Helen.
I hate Helen! She started the whole stupid Trojan War. Stupid Aphrodite.
Argh!!
Dumbasses.
And in other news, Gerri is now obsessed with LiveJournal Icons, despite the fact that she does not and has no desire to own a Livejournal. I've got several pretty ones stashed in my computer now, just for looking at. I've made three myself! :D
They're all so pretty. :P
All right, I really should go check my stuff and get to sleep.
Will be back on 25th June, when the camp ends.
But well.
