Lalala. Very bored.
Made three wallpapers in two days, but I don't have all my Photoshop brushes!! Lost them when the bloody com crashed, damn it. So the end result is that out of the three wallpapers, I only like one. Which is the Jack Sparrow POTC one. And I suspect that that one only looks good coz Johnny Depp looks good.
I will not continue along that train of thought.
The Orlando Bloom one that I made yesterday looks kinda empty.... very blank. Plain. Dunno what else to add to it, though. Crap.
I was gonna type something else, I think, but I just forgot what it is. Oh well, I'll go do something else, then I'll come back and hopefully I'll remember.
I remember!
Right, yeah, I found out that Johnny Depp is 41 this year. It's only slightly freaky. The guy doesn't look 41, man!
Viggo Mortensen and Sean Bean look 41 (well, okay, so they're really 45 and 44, but that's not the point), but bloody hell, not Johnny Depp. The guy looks... well, mid-thirties at the most, I guess.
Meh, maybe it's the hair that makes him look younger.
Anyway. This is starting to scare me. There are a lot of people out there who don't look their age, and it gets damn freaky after a while. :P

I am abso-bloody-lutely freaking damn happy.
Coz Lord of the Rings won every damn thing that it was nominated for at the Golden Globes!!!! And not to mention that it FINALLY won the Best Picture Award that it SHOULD have won for the past two years!!!
Geez, things are looking up; I hope and pray really, really, really, really hard that they win the Oscar for Best Picture; I've never ever wanted a film to win this badly!!!
From the ashes a fire shall be woken.
A light from the shadows shall spring.
Renewed shall be blade that was broken.
The crownless again shall be king.
--"The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King"
All hail the King indeed!!! :D

Yesterday was fun.
Went out with my sisters and cousins after my SATs; it was drizzling and pouring on and off the whole day yesterday; some stupid wind has probably blown a big fat squall over Singapore and it just parked itself overhead for the whole day.
As it is, the rain started around 6 am yesterday when I'd just woken up, and it's only just stopped at about 9 am today.
27 hours of rain.
I tell you, it's a good thing that the whole of Singapore's an urban jungle. Impermeable urban surfaces like concrete and all that; increased runoff rate.
I still remember my Geog! Ha!! :P
Anyway, yes, if it weren't for the faster runoff, Singapore might've been throughly flooded yesterday. :P
I bought myself a brush pen; I'm gonna start redoing the ring verse that I wrote with the brush pen. Hope it looks nice. Maybe later, I'll try drawing Gondor's White Tree with it too. :D
Went walking around Orchard yesterday; saw nice books, nice CDs, nice stuff in general... :D
Suffice it to say that this is the most fun time that I've spent with my cousins, haha. :D

Lalala. Second day of CNY. Got SATs tomorrow. Very bored.
Aunties and cousins coming down later in the day. Gonna go out for dinner with them too.
Spent half the day yesterday watching my sis' friend's POTC DVD, and the most annoying thing is that no matter how much of the stuff I watch, I feel like there's more stuff that I haven't seen yet!!
Stupid DVD is just so bloody chock full of STUFF.
Oh, yes, I have a DVD player. :D
See, just when my parents decided to condescend and buy us a DVD player, my mum won one at her Christmas office party.
It's at times like these that I change my mind temporarily and think that just perhaps, there might be a God. :P
I can smell chicken roasting downstairs.
Going to investigate.

HAH!!!!!!!! Blogger didn't bleep out my two F-words yesterday!!
HAH!
Sorry. I said I would laugh if they didn't, anyway, and see, I'm doing it. :D
Anyway, my sis's friend gave her a mag with a wonderful LOTR poster, although the mag itself is a little... er, bimbotic, shall we say. To say the least. Not naming it, in case the mag publishers decide to come after me or something. I'm naught but a poor little girl who doesn't even own the room that she sleeps in. :P
I was flipping through it, anyway, amusing myself with the strangest articles you can find in there, seriously, and then I came upon the zodiac section in the back; every mag has one.
Lalala. We all know Orlando Bloom's bday is in January, yes. But I didn't realise he was a Capricorn. Well, I didn't realise till now, that is.
Capricorns are supposed to go well with Cancers. Me is a Cancer. I can't remember the last time there was a famous person that I fancied whose zodiac sign was supposed to go well with mine; in fact, I don't think it's EVER happened.
So now, it's just kinda strange. And somewhat amusing.
It's like the time when I found out that that Patrick guy from Natural has the same bday as me (not the year, tho) when I was flipping through my sis's mag. I'd NEVER seen anyone else born on the same day as me before, seriously! For some reason, all the famous ppl's bdays seem to hover around Nov, Dec and Jan; just not bloody fair, man. :P
Anyway, yes. It has been a thoroughly enlightening day. Have to get up and weed the garden tomorrow, so I'm supposed to be going to sleep early, but hey, it's already past midnight, so what's the point? It's already late. So late that it's early, in fact.
So, looks like I'll be doing some reading before I catch some Z's. Off now.

Bored. Very bored.
Got Jane's letter, all the way from good ol' England, haha. So excited. Finally get to see her drawings and stuff; they're quite cute, actually. They're sketchy, but I just need to imagine a little and I can see just about exactly what she had in mind.
My mum's being all paranoid; asking me who sent me the letter and everything.
Oh, for God's sake, get a grip.
As if I'm gonna set up a blind date or something and fly halfway across the bloody world to meet someone I met on the Net. Didn't even believe me when I told her that it was a girl either. She said that she could say that she was an eighteen year old girl over the Net too.
I get the point, but this worrying is damn unnecessary. In fact, just talking (typing) about it is just pissing me off, man.
Won't talk about it anymore.
I need to make a list, I think.
Have so many bloody movies I wanna watch. Or at least it feels like there're a lot of bloody movies I wanna watch.
No, I don't mean bloody movies, it's just an expression... oh heck. Whatever. You know what I mean.
Anyway. List. Of movies. I wanna watch. Yes, yes, long list name. So...
List of movies I wanna watch
1. Peter Pan
Come on, it's Peter Pan! Everybody loves Peter Pan; it's like Disney; everybody loves Disney. Well, you get the idea.
2. Hidalgo
Er... quite undecided. Has Viggo Mortensen in it, but the subject material (horses and racing) isn't really my piece of cake. Or cup of tea. Whichever you prefer. Anyway, it seems kinda nice. And funny.
3. Troy
Even more undecided than Hidalgo. I mean, I don't like historical dramas, and I don't like Brad Pitt, both of which this show has.
BUT, everyone knows that the Trojans ALL die in the Trojan War, and since Orlando Bloom plays one of the Trojan princes, that means he dies, right? And if he dies, I WANT to watch it. :D
My sis and I have come to a decision as to what to do about this film, actually. We'll wait for our friends to go watch it, and then we'll ask them if Orlando Bloom's character dies. If he does, then well, it's off to the theatre for us! :D
Aren't we just the most sick, twisted little girls you ever laid eyes on....hahaha....
4. Pirates of the Carribean 2 and Kingdom of Heaven
Unfortunately, these two open next year. Damn it. Suffering from bloody POTC withdrawal!! Damn Johnny Depp for being so bloody good-looking and charming and funny... damn it.
As for Kingdom of Heaven... well, Orlando Bloom's first lead role; I wanna see if he's any good at it.
Btw, I've finally managed to describe the funny way that he talks. It sounds like he's trying to talk and breathe out at the same time; sounds really weird, I tell you. Watch POTC if you don't believe me!
5. 21 Grams
This is one of those sorta artsy kinda films, and I wanna watch it, but it's R(A).
WHY THE HELL ARE ALL ARTSY FILMS RATED R(A)?!?!?!
Are all the directors of artsy films so obsessed with nudity and sex and whatever the hell else that is deemed unfit for people below the age of 21 to watch?!?!
Fucking irritating, I tell you. All right, I didn't mean to type the F-word back there, but now that it's done anyway, let's see if Blogger bleeps it out or something. :D I'll laugh if they don't. There's profanity on the Net for you!! Yes, so we should keep all the little kids away from computers so that their minds don't get contaminated by foul words and uncouth language, ha. Stupid idiots, as if your kids won't learn it sooner or later in life, anyway. Asses.
Anyway, yes, there were so many arts films that I wanted to watch over the years, and ALL of them turned out to be rated R(A). Even "Citadel of God" (y'know, that Spanish film) last year was rated R(A)!!!
Fucking irritating!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hm. Turns out that it's not that many movies after all. Oh well. Nice to see things in perspective, anyway. :D
Lalala....
Watched "A Perfect Murder" last night on TV just so I could see Viggo Mortensen's paintings, lol.
If all the paintings in that rich guy's house were his paintings, then I'd say he's pretty good, since I loved all those paintings in the rich guy's house. :D
Okay, nothing else to type now. Got my rambling out of my system, so I'll leave you now. Ta. :D

Ah... have so bloody much to type... lol.
I'm gonna buy this month's First mag, coz my sis borrowed a copy from her friend yesterday and there's this whole LOTR spread in there, not to mention quite a few pics where Orlando Bloom looks so bloody adorable, haha.
Especially in the pic where Viggo Mortensen was kissing him. :D On the cheek; get your brains out of the gutter. Anyway, he looked sorta bashful in that pic... LOL!! So cute, can't stand it....
It's just so sweet that they're so matey and everything!
Oh, and I was reading this library book that I borrowed yesterday, called "Child X"; I finished it in three hours, but that's not the point- the point is that while I was reading it, it sounded like the story of Orlando Bloom's life, man. You know, finding out at the age of 13 that your dad isn't really your dad... if you get what I mean.
Oh, and I had several amusing thoughts yesterday, but I can only remember two now. :D
Firstly, I realised that all the major roles that Orlando Bloom has played could fall very neatly into two categories. He's either a prince (LOTR, Troy) or a blacksmith. (POTC, Kingdom of Heaven) In both cases, the blacksmith also goes on to become something bigger, lol. :D
My sis pointed out that you could also classify those roles into "very rich" and "very poor". Lol. :D
Secondly, I was thinking about what if he'd decided to take on Colin Stone's surname after he found out that the guy was his biological father... his name would be Orlando Stone then, which sounds sort of strange, and then he'd have the exact same name of that stone that he likes wearing around his neck all the time.... haha.
Geez, I think I'm a bit hyper.... :P Rambling like bloody nuts, haha...

Lalala.... not much to say today.
Just that it's the 13th of Jan, so it's Orlando Bloom's bday, so yep, Happy Birthday to the guy.
I will not say "may all your wishes come true"; how much luckier can a guy get?!? Any luckier and he'll piss me off....
All right, I was kidding.
Couldn't stay pissed at someone who had a face like that for very long, anyway, I suspect...
Oh, I give up. I'll just shut up now.

........Bloody hell.
I can't watch Pirates of the Caribbean without thinking of Lord of the Rings!
Almost everything that "Will Turner" does fairly reeks of "Legolas". Seriously.
My sis pointed out that the way he calms the donkey in the smithy is very Legolas-like, although er.. I don't really think so. :)
But the part where he's standing guard for Jack and Gibbs in the tavern and when Jack says "leverage" and he half-turns to look-- Man, that shot is just...so...Legolas.
And some of the swordplay looks familiar too. But my sis said that it's partly coz the same guy who did the swordplay choreography for LOTR was in it for POTC too.
Oh, but one part that really screams "Lord of the Rings" is when the pirates are sailing into the Isla de Muerta caves for the first time with Elizabeth, and the camera pans from left to right across the cliffs and everything.
There're boats, there's water, panning of camera from left to right, and a slow drum beat going on in the background; the first thing that popped into my head was LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring, the scene where the Fellowship are travelling down Anduin.
Good Lord, I sure can ramble when I want to, haha.
Hm.... what else to talk about, anyway?
Oh, yes, my sis borrowed the ROTK soundtrack from her friend, so I get to listen to Billy Boyd's beautiful (ha, alliteration) voice AGAIN!! And of course, Annie Lennox. Musn't forget Annie Lennox. "Into The West" is beautiful.
I need to find more words for my vocabulary.
Howard Shore's ROTK score is eligible for an Oscar.... *does little dance, looks around, then sits down, throughly embarrassed*
Well, of course it would be; he'd better win this time!! Who the hell stole it from him last year, anyway?!?
I love POTC's score too actually... Klaus Badelt did wonderful things with all those drums and brass instruments; absolutely cool music. But it doesn't beat Howard Shore's stuff, of course. :D
Lalala..... I need a life.
I'm presently trying to draw... and failing miserably.
Trying to draw the horse on Rohan's banner; failing, of course, but haven't given up. Er.. yet.
Will try Gondor's White Tree later. Hopefully I don't deface it. o.O
I managed to write out the Ring verse, though... it looks quite pretty. :)

I need eight egg yolks to make a creme brulee.
Eight. What am I gonna do with the egg whites, then?
I think I heard somewhere that egg whites can used for.... something. I vaguely remember it has something to do with being some sort of beauty treatment. Face mask?
Eugh.
Eggs on your face, haha.
I shall start perfecting my cheesy omelette. Yep, my cheesy omelette. Egg with cheese. Yummy. :D
Two of my favourite things in the world- eggs and cheese- in one simple dish!
I sound like an advertiser.
My train of thought keeps derailing today. No idea why.
Very bored.
Have no idea how the hell I'm gonna survive six months with almost NOTHING to do. o.O
I need the LOTR ROTK soundtrack!!! Billy Boyd's voice is so beautiful....
I've realised that I'm willing to pay to watch ROTK over and over and over again for just a few things in the movie:
1. To see Legolas/Orlando Bloom in his last two shots. I mean, come on, he's GORGEOUS. :P
2. To see Pippin and Sam!! The cutest and bravest hobbits alive respectively, haha. I wanna see Pippin stick that fat orc that was sneaking up on Gandalf and I wanna watch Sam fight that spider and stick his own orc. :D
3. To hear Pippin/Billy Boyd sing. I don't think the song lasts more than a minute, but for that one minute, everything-- the images, the music, even the transitions from one scene to another-- becomes absolutely heartbreaking.
4. To see the battle of Pelennor Fields. Well, the reasons for this are fairly obvious, no? The arrival of the Rohirrim is undoubtedly one of the most inspiring moments in the whole film. Theoden's speech on the Pelennor Fields, in my opinion, was actually better than Aragorn's before the Black Gate. And when they were leaving Edoras too; Eomer's short little rousing line was very moving.
Theoden: "Ride now! Ride for ruin and the world's ending!"
Eomer: "Now is the hour; oaths you have taken, fulfill them now; to lord and land-- Fulfill them all!!"
Eight. What am I gonna do with the egg whites, then?

Hah..... it's 2004.
Well, Happy New Year and all that jazz.... strange thing is that this year, New Year's and Christmas haven't really seemed like much; they just suddenly seem so meaningless.
Pam got back from her trip yesterday; going out with her and Sylvia later to catch a movie. I hope we watch LOTR again.... despite the fact that Syl doesn't.
Coz I'm bringing my little sis with me and she wants to watch LOTR. And I KNOW that Pam won't mind watching it again. At least, I don't think so. :P
